Neighborly Named Winner Of Community Commitment Award At 2012 Texas Family Business Of The Year Awards

WACO, Texas (August #, 2012) – Neighborly, formerly Dwyer Group, has been named the recipient of The Community Commitment Award at the 23rd Annual Texas Family Business of the Year Awards. The Texas Family Business of the Year Awards recognizes outstanding firms from across Texas whose families demonstrate a commitment to each other, employees, communities and industries. Baylor University’s Institute for Family Business will honor the 2012 Texas Family Business of the Year winners and finalists at an awards banquet on November 8 at Baylor University’s Bill Daniel Student Center.

Selected by a group of judges with expertise in the fields of family business, family business consulting and teaching family business, Neighborly earned The Community Commitment Award for successfully demonstrating a commitment to improving their community. Members of The Neighborly have been active in the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, McLennan Community College Board, Keep Waco Beautiful, Mission Waco, the Historic Waco Foundation, the Bosqueville Independent School District, the Board of Directors of Lead Like Jesus, Ronald McDonald House Charities and many other organizations and activities that positively impact the communities where they live and work.
